Summer 2016 has been an extremely fulfilling few months here at ArtWare.

It started in June with a fact finding trip to Haiti with Mission of Hope as we met the players and discussed the work we will do together to #createchange4haiti by creating tile walls in the schools that Mission of Hope is building in the town of Minoterie.

With a few weeks back in the states we started on some new Donor Recognition Projects, for The Kingsley House in New Orleans and The Rona Barrett Foundation in Solvang CA. They are both at the installation phase now.

Next stop Rwanda – where my work with Books and Beyond USA and colleague Nancy Uslan took us to 12 schools distributing 2 books that we created and published with children’s art and stories from 5 schools here in the United States.  We gave out 2,300 books in total and a tile mural to each school.  We were even honored with a dance performance from the students at Kampanga School and Nancy and I jumped right in to join them.

Back in the United States we have been busy once again – helping the YMCA of Middletown New York layout their donor recognition wall in honor of their new pool opening September 14th and hanging the most adorable hand print tiles at the JCC on the Palisades in New Jersey just in time for the first week of school.

Back to the studio…… lots of new projects to attend to.
