Looking for Service Learning Projects with Art

Walls that Unite is a Mission Driven Service Learning Initiative,

expressed through the creation of art tile walls that educate,

connect communities, raise funds and enhance the lives of all involved.

Creating locally, helping globally

We help you to organize and produce a wonderful service learning project for your school or organization. Your project can support one of our 2014 initiatives, listed below, or support a cause of your own.

ArtWare’s “Walls that Unite” art tile wall initiative allows you to hand create vibrant tile murals that raise our children’s global awareness, brighten the educational outlook of at-risk children in other countries, and unite communities across borders.

Sri Lanka

Our wall is going to be placed in the School in Wasgamuwa, Sri Lanka. The funds raised will be donated to buying books and supplies for the education of the village children in hopes of preparing them for employment opportunities beyond sustenance farming. Because this village is on the elephant migration path, farmers and elephants compete for limited resources creating conflict that often ends in senseless death of the already endangered Asian elephant. Creating alternative forms of income for the next generation will resolve this conflict so that elephants and people can live together in peace.

Bel Air(Port-au-Prince), Haiti

The Edeyo Foundation, whose name is derived from the Haitian Kreyol word meaning “help them”, is an independent, nonprofit organization based in New York City, dedicated to improving the future for children in Haiti through education.

Our tile wall is themed the Wall of Hope. Funds raised here will be donated to Edeyo to support their efforts of feeding and educating children from the poorest neighborhoods in Haiti.
